This marcus evans conference will show financials how to provide a flexible reward package set up to work within a dynamic and data driven market whilst operating within the bounds of CRD V (with particular focus on deferrals). The meeting will draw upon financial firms that are undergoing change from a structural perspective and highlight the impact this has on remuneration structure. The meeting will also reflect upon how financials are starting to leverage of HR data and people analytics to improve decision making around pay by linking this to performance, competency and skill set whilst ensuring that reward is driving appropriate risk and culture. Finally, the meeting will draw upon what a competitive reward package looks like in the financial market with consideration to low cost benefits.

Compensation and Benefits has come in for even more scrutiny in recent years. There have been a number of high profile initiatives to try and reduce the level of benefits being received by senior executives, and a number of regulatory initiatives to manage. In recent months, there has been an even greater push for more transparency and to increase Fair Pay within the institution, with companies debating how far they need to go in incorporating moral considerations into the compensation and benefits scheme. In addition, the financial sector, especially banks, is not as attractive to new graduates as it once was, and the increased ease of switching jobs, has caused a high level of focus on both attracting and retaining talent. With further innovations and around data analytics to help understand this, compensation and benefits need to understand how they can use HR data and people analytics available to them to ensure they meet both regulatory and internal pressures.
